The akweksDIRECTORY has its origins in the promotional efforts of our founder, LJ Stevens, in his social media groups.

As he tried to connect buyers with sellers in those groups, one of the questions he heard most was “Where do I buy / find …?”

He heard and tried to answer it so often that he realized the need for a comprehensive resource directory which enabled buyers throughout the industry to find the best vendor to meet their needs.

After searching for such a resource, he realized it simply didn’t exist. While there were many resources which provided information about and/or links to leather industry sellers, all of them were far to limited to meed the needs of most buyers. For almost without fail, they focused on just one segment or another of the industry.

The akweksDIRECTORY is intended to be a comprehensive resource which serves all buyers and sellers in every segment of the global leather industry : From the producers of leather tanning formulations to the individual who is admiring and proudly using the high quality leather goods they have purchased.
