The Leather, Shoe and Hide Journal

The Leather, Shoe and Hide Journal is a little idea magazine about leather,art and craft as became a reality in the year 2010.

Ten years after that another little magazine; Lær, Sko og Skinn was started of the undersigner. Lær, Sko og Skinn is a Norwegian language magazine which used to be sent abroad to readers who might not have always understood Norwegian.

This after Leather 2000 in Holland. Instead of loosing contact with such crafters and try to make a communication possible, it was decided to publish a little English language magazine.

It was published for the fourth time in the November/Desember 2011 issue, which had 14 pages. And has a more European perspective on the angle of articles in contrast to Lær, Sko og Skinn, which focuses mor on Scandinavia. But you will always find one or two articles in both of the magazines from Scandinavia as well. Both magazines keep an eye on American leathercraft and global leathercraft, and publish relevant articles when information is available.

Like Lær, Sko og Skinn, it is an independent, non-traditional magazine. And also like Lær, Sko og Skinn, it’s inspiration is magazine with the same name that was published most of the time between the wars.

Finally, the publisher wishes to remind the readers the deadline for acceptance of articles, photos etc. to the print version of the Leather, Shoe and Hide Journal to the May/June issue (Nr.1 – 2012) is April 30 and to the November/December issue (Nr.2 – 2012),october 30.
