Akweks (pronounced a-gweks) is the Mohawk word for “eagle.” I chose it as our company name to honor my Mohawk ancestors.
Our mission is to connect all aspects of the global leather industry, from tanning chemical manufacturers and tanneries to artisans and retail shops and their customers : the end users of leather goods.
